Bring on February…or summer.

I think that I may have posted a million times before about how much I dislike the “non thing” that is winter in London. I don’t want to go anywhere because it’s so chilly; no one wants to go out or meet up for the same reason. TV sucks! Endless grey, windy days and funky factory smells. Bleugh. On top of that I have a run of bills plus tax bills to pay. I’ve even started my spring cleaning early, in the hope that it will speed up spring’s approach. In all my cleaning and rearranging I discovered a few lost items; and a jar of unopened Marmite. I bought it to try the stuff as I never have before; I wussed out and it got forgotten to the back of a kitchen cupboard. I was going to brave some yesterday; until I discoved (Thank God!), that the use by date was April ‘06! What a lucky escape!

Thankfully; I have been doing lots of shooting; which has helped to while away some of the dullest days through January… so expect a run of sets to be queued up in the future update section of my site very soon! I also think that all that Christmas food had a very positive effect on my boobs! They’re bigger!

Hi Ruth
The Marmite would still be fine, like many other things, the use by date is just there for guidance.
Hate the stuff myself ;-)

You need to try good old Aussie Vegemite. It’s much better!

Hehe; Can’t say I’ve tried Vegemite either. I have to love Australia for Tim Tams alone though! Mmmm… :>

The obvious way to escape the English winter is to come to Australia in January-Febraury, becuase it’s summer here and we have lovely beaches with white sand with no-one on them where you can do photo shoots. I would be happy to oblige!

Hehe… I’ve only been to Australia once and totally loved it over there. Maybe you can answer me something… When you Aussies send Christmas cards… What’s on them? I’m guessing not winter scenes; robins and snowflakes?

Hey Ruth!..Yeah we have all that reindeer, Santa and snow stuff on christmas cards, sparay on frssiting in shop windows etc etc. when its 40 deg outside!..On the plus side there it an attempt to Australianize Christmas carols:
>
Dashing through the bush,
in a rusty Holden Ute,
Kicking up the dust,
esky in the boot,
Kelpie by my side,
singing Christmas songs,
It’s Summer time and I am in
my singlet, shorts and thongs
Oh! Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way,
Christmas in Australia on a scorching summers day, Hey!
Jingle bells, jingle bells, Christmas time is beaut !,
Oh what fun it is to ride in a rusty Holden Ute.
Engine’s getting hot;
we dodge the kangaroos,
The swaggie climbs aboard,
he is welcome too.
All the family’s there,
sitting by the pool,
Christmas Day the Aussie way,
by the barbecue.
You get the idea..
Keep up the great work Ruth..
